Okehampton

• Okehampton is a bustling market town, approximately 30 miles west of Exeter, on the A30. A convenient base for exploring Dartmoor, or the local area, it is situated within an hour's drive of Exeter (to the east), to the north lies Barnstaple, Bideford, Exmoor and the north coasts of Devon and Cornwall, to the south will be found Plymouth & the south coasts of Devon and Cornwall, and on the A30 westward is Cornwall.
• A wide range of shops, public houses, restaurants, accommodation and facilities - catering for all - are available in the town - and Okehampton Castle & the Museum of Dartmoor Life are well worth a visit.
